The Venture: Health Nutrition

Health Nutrition is a global seller of health supplements, both direct to consumer and via marketplaces such as Amazon.

We have been selling products online since 2005 and operate in highly competitive markets such as weight loss and sport nutrition.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be given the keys to your very own business Health Nutrition Limited. Exciting, right?! You’ll adopt a team of talented marketers who, with your leadership, will run and grow a portfolio of ecommerce brands. As the name suggests, these brands target the health and wellness market – more specifically, people become the best versions of themselves.

As the Entrepreneur in Residence you will develop and oversee the vision and direction for Health Nutrition. This business focuses on traffic, conversion & community – driving traffic through partnerships, SEO and paid advertising. Traffic is vanity, conversions are sanity, so ensuring the maximum number of visitors purchase via awesome CRO, copy and design is just as important.

We sell primarily via our own ecommerce stores and also on the Amazon marketplace.

You will be taking full leadership of the company and you will be accountable for driving growth.

This is a ‘roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty’ type of role.

If you’re looking to just tell others what to do, this is NOT the role or company for you.

We value partnerships and you will also be working with partners including affiliates, influencers, ambassadors.

Just another day in the office

Your typical day will be:

  • Collaborating with our internal team and external partners to increase traffic and grow revenue
  • Working with the Health Nutrition team to motivate, prioritise and execute the backlog of work
  • Working with the Health Nutrition team to plan the roadmap of new work for future growth
  • Removing blockers and simplifying workflows, keeping it simple is one of our core values
  • Ensuring you fully understand the brand customers and building their experience and voice into everything you do
  • Experimenting fast and rewriting the rules to deliver results
  • Keeping a close eye on the financials to ensure you are growing profitability

  • You’ve had exposure to WordPress and HTML/CSS knowledge

  • Your organisational, time management and juggling skills are on point – you’ll be managing multiple projects on a daily basis
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and influence those around you
  • You can work both independently and collaboratively within teams to achieve shared goals
  • You’re eager to learn new things and stay on top of current marketing trends
  • You’re not afraid of hard work and you’re ready to put the hours, blood, sweat and yes, maybe even tears, into something which in turn will help you achieve your ultimate ambitions

It’d also be cool (but not absolutely necessary) if...

  • You have worked in the supplement / health space previously
  • You have an MBA or equivalent business experience
  • You enjoy working in an agile, sprinting fashion and have had experience working in this way previously
  • You attend conferences, training and local meetups related to digital marketing, traffic and conversion

Remote working? Sure, why not?!

We’ve got a growing bunch of remote workers based all over the world, so we’ll consider applications from anywhere. All we ask is:

  • Should you be invited, you will attend an interview either remotely or at a location suitable for both 
  • If you bag the job, you might be asked to spend your first two working weeks at a specific location (we’ll pay your travel and accommodation expenses) so we can get you properly onboarded and making friends with your fellow team members
  • You attend our “all-hands on deck” weeks – the location for these changes from quarter to quarter

What are “all hands” weeks? These are week-long events where team members near and far descend on a location and spend a week collaborating, socialising and having a good laugh. It’s pretty awesome.

We can achieve so much more in a much smaller time frame when we’re all together. And it’s super important for connecting with and building strong relationships with your teammates Especially for our remote workers – it’s kinda difficult to know someone through a screen, don’t you think? Meeting your teammates face to face on the reg is the best way to really get to know them.
